Archimedes
of Syracuse
Archimedes of Syracuse The man, the legend, the original bathtub influencer. Archimedes (c. 287–212 BCE) wasn’t just shouting “Eureka!” for fun — he was busy laying the groundwork for hydrostatics, inventing war machines to stall Roman invasions, and calculating pi before it was fashionable. From spirals to screws to stories that sound made up but aren’t, this guy’s brain ran circles around everyone. Approach with awe, and maybe a towel.
